Argos Basics and Running Reports (part 1)

Wednesday, August 5, 2009: 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Description: This class will introduce the basics of Argos. During this class you will learn how to setup Argos on your computer, log on to the server, and how to find and run reports when using ARGOS instead of Crystal Reports on ARES. We will also go over the three different types of reports used in ARGOS.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this course.

Argos Basics and Running Reports (part 2)

Wednesday, August 12, 2009: 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Lybyer T210 (Training Room)

Description: This class will build on the introduction class on the basics of Argos. We will review how to log on to the AGOS server, and how to find and run reports when using ARGOS instead of Crystal Reports on ARES. We will review the three different types of reports used in ARGOS and look at newly converted reports specific to each department.

Prerequisites: Part 1 of the Argos Basics course.

Argos Beginning Report Writing

Description: This class will introduce Argos Report Writing through a series of exercises. During this class you will learn the basics to formatting a report as well as brief you on the different types of reports that can be created using Report Writer.

Argos Advanced Report Writing

Description: This class introduces advanced techniques in Argos Report Writing through a series of exercises. During this session yowill be shown grouping and summarizing functions available in Argos Reporting, how to design a Banded report, and Basic SQL expressions.

Argos Beginning Datablock Design

Monday, August 3, 2009: 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Wednesday, August 5, 2009: 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Lybyer T210  (Training Room)

Description: This class will introduce Argos DataBlock Design through a series of exercises. In this course, DataBlock designers will go through login and security policies, the different databases and data available to query, and building a basic DataBlock. The intended audience for this course is those who would be considered "power users", and are familiar with query writing, and SQL language. The instructor reserves the right to screen enrollees.

Argos Advanced Datablock Design

Description: This class introduces advanced techniques in Argos DataBlock Design through a series of exercises. During this session DataBlock Designers will learn multiple functions available in Argos DataBlocks.

Prerequisites: Beginning Report Writing, Advanced Report Writing, and Beginning DataBlock Design.
